Chinese New Year Cookies 1

This year, my aunt suggested that we should try to do CNY cookies at home since all of us are free on weekends...
In the market out there, for the small size cookies also need to cost around RM20++ of course it was home made cookies...
For those bakery one of course even more expensive...
Only for those selling in hypermarket made by factory and doesn't seems like food for CNY...
Ya those are definitely most cheap that you ever find...

Alright, back to the topic..
So we did 3 baking in 1 day... More precise it's 7 hours to complete 3 type of bakery...
1. Chocolate Almond Cookies
2. Western Almond Cookies
3.Raisin Cupcake

For this post, I'll just share for the Chocolate Almond Cookies baking method...

Actually, we did not bake everything from 0...
We bought well-mixed flour from the bakery supply...
All we need to do is just to add in butter & eggs & any other where necessary...

1st of all... Weigh the butter according to the instruction I got...
And 2 eggs needed...

Add the butter and eggs and beat it till whitish...

After it's done, add in the well-mixed flour

Then the flour is beat evenly and also add in the almond flakes and chocolate essence and mix evenly...

End product of the dough...

Next what you need to do is to lay a layer of plastic on the table, and make the dough into the shape that you like...
Of course for normal people they'll make a rectangular shape...
This is what I can do the best... It's really hard to make it even... >.<

Imma very serious k? LOL

after all dough had made into the shape, then freeze it overnight
so, the next day, take out the frozen dough and cut into pieces before baking... don't cut too thick or else it'll not cooked!
Baking in process

Outcome... YUM YUM!!

2 packets of well-mixed flour, 4 containers of cookies

It was a very easy and yet a lot to learn in this baking process...
Especially the one to make it into shape... @.@
But, see the outcome and for the taste, it's all worth it... =)
Why don't you try it at home too? =)
