Bali Trip Day2

I found out that recently there's a lot of people planning to go to Bali...
And I also received quite a few friends message that they asked me how much is my Bali trip, how many days and etc...
So I'll just briefly talk about it...
Actually we booked the ticket quite early, so it's about SGD260 per person...
And the tour package we took was RM915 per person...
So you do the calculating work yourself la...
We didn't play any water sports, 1 meal is not included in the package and also some other tips during the trip...
I can say that roughly RM2,000 per person...

If you want to get a more budget and cheaper price of course you can...
Try to look for different package...
The package I took inclusive 2 times 2 hours massage...
But I would say that every pence are worth for good stuff...

The breakfast are all provided by the hotel every morning...
We had 4 breakfast there and luckily the varieties are slightly different everyday...

1st day breakfast buffet

Congee with some ingredients for add on

Several types of drink

Omelet guy! LOL~

Cereals

Salad

Croissant

And very beautiful dining place in the hotel's restaurant

After breakfast, we departed from hotel pretty early...
About 8.30am?
The front view of the hotel

oh ya! fyi, the 4 of us comply 1 group tour d... so this is the little van for the whole journey which just age 1month... =D

First we went to watch Barong Culture Dance...
these are actually balinese statue for pray

took this before Barong Dance start

Entrance at the Barong Culture Dance show

This is their so called Barong

This monkey let me snap a photo of him =D

Bali traditional dance (very similar to Thai's)

See it yourself they called is "banana"
After the show ended, we continue our long long journey to Kintamani...
But on the way to Kintamani we stopped by a several places to visit and a little shopping can be done...

1st stop is to visit the batik factory
handmade batik, put on the wax follow the pencil line drawn on the cloth

After the wax had done, they put on the colour and again put some decorative wax such as the fish fins

The traditional process of making cloth

Of course we are given some time to shop around but as a brilliant shoppers no one will actually shop in those place 1 k?
It's expensively like hell...
1 batik equivalent to 20 batik i bought outside k?

2nd stop, we visited silver accessories making factory...
Did you know that silver are actually added with alloy to make it more ductile?
Pure aluminum is too soft...
1st step to make the ring is to fix it into shape

Then other person will curve the silver

This is the motif curved

We bought 1 silver necklace and 1 pendant here...
I'll show what I've bought before I ended the whole trip of Bali... =)
Be patient!
That's the place... Their thing is really cheap ya! Cause the tour guide brought us into those village area which seldom people go there...

Next stop, is to visit the wood carving factory...
They are really damn pro
Nothing much inside... =.=
So we continued our journey to Kintamani...
Kintamani is famous for their Mt Batur, the volcano and Batur Lake...
Actually we had our lunch on top of the mountain opposite to Mt Batur...
Buffet lunch

Some salad and fried onion

The weather was not good that day... It's raining...

Hardly can see the volcano though... =(

After our lunch, we are heading back to Kuta...
But we have plenty of time left...
So we requested our driver and tour guide to bring us to try some coffee!
In this place where they have quite a few type of plantation and also coffee and cocoa!
Know what is this? People called "Salak" or snake skin fruit

The lady is roasting the coffee beans

I'm grinding the coffee beans! Haha

These are all roasted coffee beans

Tour guide teaching how to make own tobacco

Our free ginger tea, hot chocolate and coffee!

This Kopi Luwak is not free thought =(

1 cup sells at RM15! Because it's 1 of the top grade coffee in the world and is meant for guy only... So you know what's that for la...

Modernize grinding maching

Coffee seedling!!

This is the Luwak
Actually Luwak Coffee is the coffee bean ate by this "fox-like" thing and digested and pass it out and people pick it out from his shit and that's the Luwak coffee bean...
Then undergo all this process you've got the Luwak Coffee...
People realized that the Luwak only choose the best grade of coffee bean to be eaten and is only found in Bali...
That's why now Luwak coffee is top rated coffee in the world...

Ok after our coffee session we also have quite a lot of time...
So we requested our kind driver and tour guide to bring us to the paddy field...
If you are wondering why do we want to visit paddy field in Bali?

Tadah!!
Have you ever seen people plant paddy at slopes?
This is why paddy field in Bali is so much different!
And they are so smart isn't it?
They use every little piece of land they have to plant it with paddy...
My parents, elder sis and me

Elder sis and me

ME
So before we have our dinner, we went to a temple...
I'm not sure whether is it Jagatnatha Temple

ME
FYI, why is it have to wear "sarong"?
Because it's a temple! Some temple for those who wear shorts only have to be cover by the sarong...
But for this particular temple even wear pants also have to put on the sarong...
Parents in front 1 of the praying building

Very unique praying building
While we were visiting and looking around in the temple we saw their local people are gambling with the "chicken fight"
I find it very cruel because which chicken had lost are then killed immediately...
Right after it had lost er!
Saw it with my own eyes...
Bear some merci please... =(
Such a crowd watching for the 2 chickens 2 fight for not more than 10s?

Typical entrance of Balinese buildings

Main entrance of the Jagatnatha Temple
After visit the temple, we are heading back to Kuta for our dinner...
The tour guide had arranged local meal for us...

The surrounding

With beautiful landscape

The whole set per person... I realized that Balinese really eat very simple dishes and their local people hardly can afford to eat these kind of meal in restaurant... Please be grateful with what we have...

Watermelon everyday in Bali >.<

After dinner before return to hotel and rest we went for a walk to the city...
15mins walk from our hotel...
There's Sogo shopping complex...
It's located at the beachside
Nothing much to shop there and it's about 9pm and every shop and stall were actually prepare to close for the day...

So we walked back to the hotel...
And have a good rest...

  2. Adrian: Yes it's a really nice place! But i don't think the food there is nice... =( almost everyday eating the same thing...
They serve the same soup everyday, and almost all their buffet are the same... that's why I guess the Balinese doesn't really take much concern at their food...
